Social Services
We provide students with opportunities to become involved with the community of Yucatan through undertaking projects of individual interest. Past students have chosen to do volunteer work, independent studies and internships in the following areas:
Handcrafts (stone, wood, henequen, ceramic, paper, textiles, paintings, metals)
Construction of traditional Mayan houses
Biosphere reserves
Agriculture (milpas)
Medicine
Technology
Governmental Institutions
NGOs
Students select their individual projects to their academic needs or interests. The institute helps the students to carry out their projects by assisting with project development, logistics, location and accommodations.
